Moira's Urban Palette was recently featured in an article in The West Australian newspaper. The article covered the story of Moira's beginnings, designing, sewing and following a long heritage from grandmothers who sewed. One great grandmother was a tayloress in Northam who made some of the counsellor's suits, along with being an excellent cook and catering.
Later it was discovered that this great grandmother had bought a number of houses to redecorate and rent out, hence Moira's interest of decorating and especially the love of textiles and fabrics. Quilts have been designed and sewn, using a mix of silk frabrics, soft English florals. Some of the fabrics used are by designer Kaffe Fassett, whose name is synonymous with bright bold colours and textures.
Moira's Urban Palette is also advertised in the Perth Woman Magazine on their
website perthwoman.com.au, under Find a Business, Shopping, Gifts and Homewares.
The magazine is published bi-monthly and is a glossy encounter of all that
is happening in Perth - new shops, fashion, cosmetics, interesting
articles and up and coming events.
