Last Night at Home....

Moira Schneider

Well it's the count down of hours now and I keep thinking I have everything together and something else pops up to be attended to but if I had to leave right now I am ready in that sense. Lots of calls wishing me well which means I am leaving under many blessings.

What isn't done doesn't matter we never have everything just so..... But thought to take a photo of my gorgeous roses that are nearly two weeks old. The markets are my favourite spot for purchasing the roses and these are the last till September - oh what a wait

I have weighed my cabin bag and just make the target so absolutely no more !!  I have a friend who manages to travel with just cabin baggage most of the time - I can't seem to do it yet. Have organised my boxes at the other end that have arrived at my Aunt's !!!!

Till my next post ......

Trialing My Journaling Before My Adventurous Trip

Moira Schneider

Before leaving on my Trip to England and Wales I thought it would be good to practice using my new website for journaling.  It has been a short time to decide to go on this trip and for the preparation to be done.  As my grandsons would say they would be counting the sleeps till we arrived to see them, and now I too feel like it is the count down to Friday when I leave.

Through making preparations to go, I still wanted to get to the fresh markets on Saturday morning and purchase produce and flowers for the week.  Here are scenes of the markets even though it was a bit of a drizzly morning.

A Little Lunch at a Heavenly Venue...

Moira Schneider

Joining my daughter-in-law for lunch at 'Sayers Sister' on their opening day proved to be a wonderful experience.  The decor and food were out of this world.  The innovation behind the decorating of this old building brought out an electric mix of old with the new...The food was prepared in the kitchen on the premise and solid home baked goodness prevailed along with the picturesque presentation.

The open plan kitchen allows you to feel a part of what is happening, not hidden away but like sitting at home and watching the buzz....

Delightful booths with the seating being reinvented, with wing backed chairs with an upmarket retro touch, adding to the decor of the exposed brick walls with old doors mounted, to add interest along with the extra quirkiness and warmth of the place.

The view from the booths is the central counter of brick and stone with the most gorgeous glass down lights, with the stone top amassed with candles, flowers and the top end, a selection of the food.  It certainly is a place to go to step right out of everything and feel like you are being transported into a little place in France or Italy.....

Walks along the beach

Moira Schneider

When I am up early and walking along the beach, it is time to ponder on the day ahead, to think and dream and yet see all the beauty around me. Never far from my hand is my camera which I am constantly trying to improve my photos but that is part of the fun!
